1. Login as Administrator
2. Go to > Control Panel > Portal > Roles
3. Click on a Role, eg. My Role
4. Click on Define Permissions tab
5. in the Add Permissions dropdown, choose a Portlet. then select permissions that would like to assign to this role.
6. Click Save.
Once saved, chosen Role should be able to access the selected portlet according to the assigned permission.
Done!!
